The Chaos Begins!

Welcome friends, family and all other gorgeous people to the mad marriage site of Clare and John!

Thanks to the fabulously inspiring wedding of Mr and Mrs Playford - John and I are doing it too! (Copycats I know!) We got engaged on the 23rd December 06 - I finally said yes! - and hope to be married on 1st July 07 in Roundhay, Leeds.

Already there are complications - shockhorror! - the church that we want to get married in is sadly being closed down. At the moment no-one knows when the closure order will be served, so we might be able to marry in the beautiful, old and awe-inspiring church of our dreams or - if it has closed - a nice, friendly, very modern and not so inspiring alternative! Watch this space!

St John's Church

Beautiful

Although Roundhay is a Methodist Church it is sharing it's building with the St John's congregation until the closure happens. So we may well be having a C of E service in a Methodist Church with the Reverend from St John's!

We were planning a later wedding but have had to bring it forward to give us the best chance of 'catching' St John's before it closes. So we aren't rushing headlong into a lifetime committment just for the fun of it! There is method behind this marriage madness! The race is on, please run with us!
